The Curl project was created in 1996.
FrankA, Corpus Delicti's former guitarist (92 to 94) returned to 'new wave' and
began to explore more electronic sounds. In 1997, the first album Ultimate Station with Stephanie Renouvin's vocals was widely chronicled in magazines :
Magic Trax, Coda and Technikart. The maxi ("Let us breath") invited them to
perform at Printemps de Bourges in 1998, then at Transmusicales Rennes in 1999.
In 2000, Curl received the FAIR (Fund for Assistance to speeches Rock) with
"Club 99".
Inner their second album, was released by EMI Publishing in 2004
and their cover of "Closer" by NIN won a nomination for the QWARTZ Electro Music
Awards.
In 2009, Curl is fully realised. FranKA has created the right alchemy
with the collaboration of Hayley Alker (Helsinki). The Trip-Hop influences give
way to a powerful and sharp electro-rock.

Who are they
Hayley Alker : voice.
Hayley also sings in Helsinki (UK). she created her own project with her partner
John D Callender (previous drummer from the Cranes). Music professor in
Portsmouth, she joined the project in 2007.
Franck Amendola - FranKA : Guitar, programming and voice.
Stemming from the 80s punk new wave scene, he played with Corpus Delicti
from 92 to 94, creates COVE in 94 (first part of Dominique A in April, 96). He
then turns his attentions to Music Production and creates Curl in 1997. He also
plays with PressGangMetropol.
Yves Pleiser : Drum & percussions.
Drummer of the group since 2004. Yves is the rhythmic backbone of the band -
his body is a machine (the living metronome).
Manuel Acqualeni "IKBOY" : bass.
Guitarist of Waterpipecult, Indykush and currently also plays with
Junkyards. He joined Curl in September 2008 and fully immersed himself in the
project.
Wil Garcia : guitar & programming.
A new arrival to Curl playing 2nd guitar on stage who has joined definitively
the band since the first 2 gigs in England in November 2009. With his project
Teenage Sin Taste, he remixed bands such as In Broken English, A Place to Bury
Strangers or still Screen Vinyl Image.
