The Napoleon Blown Aparts: obnoxious high-energy rock.

- Thrill Hype play hifi lofilicenseBUY

artist photo America's baddest rock n' roll band. THE NAPOLEON BLOWNAPARTS are known as one of the most explosive live acts touring today!

Founder and front man of "The Blownaparts" Mr. Ajax displays angst, Anger and rage as he punches testosterone fueled rock music into the hearts and bedrooms of teenagers everywhere.

1998 rolled in as The Blownaparts took their show on the road playing everywhere from dirty night clubs to opening for Fiona Apple and Social Distortion at the Paul Paul theatre in California.

The summer of 98 was also the summer the band made it a point to make kids across the United States listen to their cry for pure RAWK N' ROLL!

On the "Vans Warped Tour 98" in Lake Tahoe Nevada signer/guitarist Ajax Garcia remembers how the muddy crowed of Fred Durst look alikes welcomed his band and their brand of "PUNK RAWK" with open arms.............and legs.

July 2000 rolls in and The Napoleon Blownaparts kicked off a summer tour that would have their music heard by over 100,000 people as they were invited along for the ride by Levi's and S.F.X. Productions to open the huge KISS Farewell Tour!

Six sold out club dates, five sold out 17,000 plus amphitheatres, One sold out 7,000 radio concert opening for WEEZER and over 10,000 miles put these boys on the map.

Perhaps the most amazing thing about this band is nearly the whole tour was funded by T-shirt and CD sales alone. That and the will to survive!

Most recently founder of the Band Mr. Ajax has closed a deal to make The Napoleon Blownaparts the first and only band to have a major beverage company sponsor a major record release.

The Blownaparts believe that at least 50% of their music should be free and readily available to the kids.

Boasting "BLAVOD" as the advertising company on Ajax's record and several different distribution outlets including hip and trendy magazines like "Lollipop Magazine" and "Strike" an over seas favorite The Blownaparts made a bold and brave statement!

WE LIKE OUR VODKA DARK, AND OUR MUSIC FREE!

If capturing a young hip 21 and over audience was what the band had in mind? Then The Blownaparts and Ajax hit a bulls eye with this Black Vodka release!

IF YOU DON'T ROLL WITH THE TIMES? THE TIMES WILL ROLL YOU OVER!

......but remember keeping integrity while capturing the above requires talent and honesty.

AN INTERVIEW WITH AJAX OF THE NAPOLEON BLOWNAPARTS

So Mr. Ajax. Is your life any more hectic now that you run your own business, and play in a musical group?

(Ajax) hmmm I never had anyone refer to my band as a musical group before (laughs) I prefer rock n' roll outfit. But to answer your question? yes things can get a little wild at times because there is just not enough hours in a day to accomplish everything you would like to.

(Interviewer) So I am going to go for the throat. What do you think of Gene Simmons, and do you feel you were slided at all by "KISS" for basically ignoring your artistic efforts during the reunion tour era?

(Ajax) I feel just fine with Gene Simmons. I seriously doubt he even knew who I was or who BigKidz was for that matter, I am not even sure we were in operation under that moniker at the time we created the KISS artwork. It's obvious Simmons is wise a person when it comes to his business, the thing that always gets me is why people refer to him as a genius. I mean he is an influence on me no doubt but that hardly warrants the word genius in reference to him from my mouth. The way I see it is he pretty much maintained what another created back in the 1970's, of course I am referring to Bill Aucoin. Now if you are talking about the whole concept of KISS I will have to agree that yes Gene Simmons is a genius. Ha ha ha so hey! I guess that makes him a genius right? ha ha I'm dizzy. Next question please?

(Interviewer) Hmmm that is funny, ok so what's up with your music world, and why has been so long since you have put out anything new as far as material?

(Ajax) Man I just got burnt out there for a while. I have been having a blast drawing pictures of rock bands that I like. Drawing has always been a second love for me. Well not really second because I hold my guitar and my best ink pen in equally high regards. I am currently doing some new Blownaparts projects and I am still recording a new Blownaparts record wich is going to be very lo-fi and just super rock n' roll to the max bro. The kids are seriously going dig it. I am also stoked about playing on a stage live, I have messed around with some fun side bands just to break sweat but nothing serious, it will be fun and glorious for me when me and The Napoleon Blownaparts take the stage again. I really don't care where the stage is or what size either. I can play for 3 kids or 9,000 kids. I don't matter. (Interviewer) Ajax are you still considered a starving artist? is BigKidz or The Blownaparts enjoying the fruits of your labor? if so please share with your readers your secrets. (Ajax) Am I considered a starving artist? I don't consider my self starving by any means, have you seen how chubby I am? ha ha. Is BigKidz successful? it depends on how you gage success. I love what I do with BigKidz to me it's fun and it allows me to meet, and work with great artist who I admire and to me that is success, plus I wouldn't put as much time into BigKidz if it is wasn't generating any income. Will I share any secrets? ..of course not. (Interviewer) Would you say you are rich? (Ajax) Ha ha ha! yeah rich in faith. If I were rich I wouldn't tell you. I don't brag about my accomplishments to often, I didn't say I don't at all, I just don't do it often ha ha ha. After a few Budweiser's I might pat my self on the back once or twice.

(Interviewer) I like to listen to music while I work can you tell me who you listen to? and what bands drive you.

(Ajax) I am into the blues, garage rock, garage punk rawk, honky tonk, and just about anything that rocks. I dig listening to good soulful rock while I draw. Lately I have been digging The Hives, Hellacopters, The Supersuckers, KISS, The Humpers, The Gaza Strippers, The D4, and AC/DC.

(Interviewer) Aren't the Gaza Strippers from Detroit?

(Ajax) Yeah I believe they are, dude you must go download some Gaza Strippers or better yet go buy their record, that band rules.
