We probably should mention the many impressive accomplishments of Laurel Zucker and Sara Andon as flautists--extreme virtuosity, advanced technical skill on par with Rampal, Galway and such--but it just somehow seems too ponderous for music as delicate and sublime as this. Suffice to say that Zucker and Andon's many gifts as musicians come together in the interwoven, intensely delightful melodies of W.F. Bach, eldest son of J.S. Bach. The performances here are so natural and perfect that even those not typically drawn to this instrument will find themselves utterly charmed.
